The Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve Replay Editor is a hardware control panel that combines features for both replay and for multicam editing. Its affordable design has the same high quality keys that gaming keyboards use, so it’s reliable and feels nice to use. With features for both replay and editing, it means the same operator can work on replays while loading them into the timeline with the keyboard’s editing features. This makes it incredibly fast to use. Plus the buttons have been spaced so you can locate them by feel. Even the trim keys work with the large search dial for greater speed and accuracy. The panel can connect via USB or Bluetooth and the large internal battery lasts for hours.

View Live Input
The live input button changes the viewer to a direct input from video hardware such as a switcher multi-view! This means you can add a low latency view of your cameras, ready to mark the POI for replay.

Set POI
To mark an event, simply press the POI button or the space bar when input view is selected. This will set the POI time from the video input timecode, then switch to the source view and cue to the POI.

Go to End
If you get distracted while editing and miss an event, then just press GO TO END! It takes you to the end of the media which was just recorded. Then you can scroll back to see what happened.

Find Best Angle
You can scroll back and see all the camera angles, because DaVinci Resolve can play them simultaneously into a multi-view. That makes it easy to find and select the best angle for your replay!

Auto Stinger
Before you start a replay, you might want to enable an auto stinger. This automatically rolls a stinger when starting or stopping a replay. You can also select different stingers with the title keys.

Set Transitions
When rolling a replay, the cut and dissolve buttons let you select the type of transition you want when sequencing shots. Now each time you select a new camera, you get a nice dissolve transition.

Start Replay
The RUN button starts a replay and enables the key channel output so the switcher will show the playback and start the auto stinger. It also starts logging when adding the replay to the timeline.

Set Playback Speed
You can do live speed changes by using the slider control. You can slow playback speed on both the viewer and the timeline. When you slow to stop, the search dial lets you jog around the paused area.

Switch Between Cameras
Use the camera buttons to cut between cameras when playing to air. The viewer will continue to show a multi-view and the selected camera being output to the video output. It’s like a switcher!

Sequence Shots
If you press one of the time keys and a CAM button while playing to air, DaVinci Resolve will jump playback to the selected time before the POI for the selected camera. You can even select it to use a transition!

Stop Replay
The DUMP button stops replay and then adds the shots to the timeline if one is selected. Plus it can run the auto stinger. It’s smart so it will wait a little while if you just sequenced to a new shot.

New Timelines
The new timeline key will save the current timeline and open a new timeline with a similar name. There is no dialog window displayed so it’s very fast. You could create a new timeline for each replay!

Add a desktop shuttle to quickly and easily play back video clips with this HyperDeck Shuttle HD from Blackmagic Design. The HyperDeck Shuttle HD features a compact design that allows you to run your HDMI video in and out and connect to a computer or ATEM switch to control media playback using its large search dial and buttons. It also features a built-in teleprompter to utilize any text files, without requiring third-party software.

The Shuttle HD runs Blackmagic OS, supports ProRes and DNx file formats, and it is compatible with a wide range of editing software such as Premiere Pro, Avid, and DaVinci Resolve, and it can also be used to stream H.264 video to streaming services such as YouTube or Vimeo. It can be used to record video using its SD card slot or USB Type-C output to an optional drive, or you can connect to the Blackmagic MultiDock to record to multiple SSDs. The Ethernet port provides external control and file transfers over a network.

With support for H.264, ProRes, and DNx files, you can record true broadcast masters. You can even select between PCM or AAC audio. That’s great for higher-quality mastering when used with ATEM Mini switchers. You get everything needed to send shows to broadcasters and for uploading to streaming services like YouTube.

The large search dial lets you visually browse your clip library, then you can use the previous clip button to cue the start of the clip. After playing, you can use the clip button to stop the playback at the end of the clip. ATEM switchers can even remote control HyperDeck Shuttle via Ethernet.

HyperDeck Shuttle includes a control panel that’s very fast to use, and the buttons are similar to a traditional broadcast deck. Simply press the record button and you instantly start recording the video input to a file. The large machined metal search dial supports shuttle, jog, and scroll so you can find clips fast. Plus, all deck control functions can be triggered remotely using the Ethernet network.

DaVinci Resolve Studio, from Blackmagic Design, is a renowned advanced color correction software and now also a full-fledged, non-linear editing system — it even allows to you to import projects from other NLEs, such as from Premiere Pro, as XML files. You can edit, color correct, finish, and deliver all from one system. Moreover, Resolve is highly sophisticated and oriented at the same time toward the individual user, large collaborative teams, and the growing studio owner. It's completely scalable and resolution independent, so it can be used on set, in a small studio, or integrated into large production pipelines.

Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve Mini Panel with Resolve Software

The DaVinci Resolve Mini Panel from Blackmagic Design is a compact panel that’s packed with a massive combination of features and controls! Like the micro panel, you get three professional trackballs along with a variety of buttons for switching tools, adding color correctors and navigating your node tree. It also features two color LCD screens that display menus, controls and parameter settings for the selected tool, along with direct access buttons that let you go direct to the menus for specific DaVinci features. The DaVinci Resolve Mini Panel is ideal for editors and colorists that need to regularly switch between editing and color grading, or for freelance colorists that need to take their panel with them when moving between facilities! The mini panel is also great for colorists working on location shoots, for corporate and event videographers, houses of worship and more!

Small enough to take with you, so you can bring it to any Resolve system (12.5.5 or later) and do color correction on location or at the editor’s suite

Shares basic layout with Mini and Advanced Panels

Interfaces with and controls software

Three track balls with outer control rings

Log and Offset color-correction selection buttons

Custom control knobs with 4096 steps per rotation and push-button reset

Primary Correction Creative Control Knobs

To take your color grading to the next creative level, the DaVinci Resolve Mini and Micro panels include 12 dedicated primary color correction control knobs. These are designed to make it easy for you to stylize the look of your images and generate precise “film looks.” All knobs can be pressed to instantly reset the control. That’s perfect for when you are trying an exciting new style but get a bit lost. Simply press the knobs to reset!

Luminance

Y lift Control: Adjust the contrast of the image in the darker areas, specifically in the Y (luminance) channel only. This adjustment allows changing the black point without changing saturation.

Y Gamma Control: Adjust the contrast of the image in the mid-tone areas, specifically in the Y (luminance) channel only. This control helps add depth and extra vibrancy to shots.

Y Gain Control: Adjust the contrast of the image in the brighter areas, specifically in the Y (luminance) channel only. You can reduce hot shots or pull the whites to make the shot look more angelic!

Contrast

Contrast Control: Increase contrast to make the blacks darker and the whites brighter, or decrease contrast to do the opposite.

Pivot: Change the center of tonality about which dark and bright parts of the image are stretched or narrowed during a contrast adjustment.

Mid-Tone Detail: Affect the contrast of regions of the image with high edge detail to increase or decrease the perception of image sharpness and definition. Often used for softening facial features making it popular for beauty shots.

Other Controls

Color Boost Control: Raise the saturation in regions of the image with low saturation while leaving properly saturated areas alone. Also known as a vibrance operation, this is useful for adding color without over saturating the image.

Shadow Control: Selectively lighten or darken shadow detail without affecting your images mid-tones.

Highlight Control: Enable retrieving blown out highlight detail in high dynamic range media by lowering this parameter. This allows you to achieve a smooth blend between the retrieved highlights and unadjusted mid tones for a natural-looking image.

Saturation Control: Increases or decreases overall image saturation, you can turn your color image into a grayscale image with this control.

Hue Control: Rotate all hues of the image around 360° of the color wheel. The default setting is 50, which retains the original distribution of hues.

Luminance Mix Control: Control the balance between the YRGB adjustments and Y only adjustments made using the Y channel lift, gamma, and gain controls.

High Resolution Displays

The DaVinci Resolve Advanced Panel and DaVinci Resolve Mini Panel feature bright full color displays allowing full control over the massive creative toolset built into DaVinci Resolve. The displays show menus for the soft knobs and soft keys, as well as visual feedback of the knob adjustments in real time. Menus update to the current toolset automatically as you use DaVinci so you get the the quickest and most direct keys to every feature, and you never waste time searching through long complicated menus.

Professional Trackballs

Trackballs provide RGB balance adjustments for lift, gamma and gain, each with a master level control. The Advanced panel also features a dedicated RGB offset and master gain trackball to adjust the tint and brightness of the entire image. The trackballs can be set to work in either log or RGB with the touch of a button.

Illuminated Keys

The buttons and keys on the DaVinci Resolve control panels illuminate when selected so you can easily see which controls are active. On the Advanced and Mini panels, the keys are also backlit, making it easy to clearly see each button in a dimly lit suite!

Soft Knobs

DaVinci Resolve Micro Panel is perfect for independent editors and colorists that need a truly portable solution, great on set to create looks and evaluate color and lighting, ideal for quickly grading video in broadcast trucks, great for education and much more!

The DaVinci Resolve Advanced Panel from Blackmagic Design is a significant step up in functionality from the Micro or Mini panel. It consists of a main console and two auxiliary consoles, one on each side, as well as a slide-out keyboard in the center console. It enables one-touch access to virtually every control and parameter within the DaVinci Resolve software.

The center console incorporates four high-resolution, weighted trackballs and 30 soft, customizable control knobs for accessing color-correction tools in the Resolve software. The custom control knobs feature 4096 steps per rotation and push-button reset so you can achieve high-quality and precise color correction using the DaVinci Resolve system.

The Resolve control surface incorporates a slide-out keyboard that is useful when naming or renaming files, and it can be neatly tucked away when not in use. All functions are accessible via separate keys, such as the reference keys, and the fader T-bar that allows you to wipe between reference stills.

You can easily control the image sections via keys located for easy access at your natural hand positions. Lift, gamma, and gain adjustments along with RGB control are achieved via trackballs. Menus and indicators are visible via five high-resolution LCD screens that offer a view of the functions of all the knobs and buttons. Soft knobs that can precisely control parameters via single touch are provided, and no electrical contact eliminates wearing out of the knobs. Aesthetically illuminated keys are backlit using RGB color and intensity. Complete control of the project timeline or deck is offered via the jog/shuttle knob and transport controls.
